"blackening" your castings

We are still working on the final blend of food for our worms to arrive at the "black gold" that should be the standard for ideal worm castings.

I've been making the forum rounds asking this question:

"How do we get our castings darker?"

I've gotten 3 good suggestion- dried molasses, biochar (only found one source), and 'time'.

Any here have any suggestions?
