I joined the group today, and 10 months have passed since your question, but I see no replies, so just in case:
Pile the compost, containing worms, on a cloth or tarp, in the light (sun or artificial).
Wait 5 to 10 minutes. (The worms will move away from the light, towards the bottom of the pile.)
Remove the top part of the pile, which will contain few, if any, worms, and form it as a second pile next to the first.
Return the bottom of the pile, which will be mostly worms, to the bin.
Wait another 5 to 10 minutes, for any remaining worms in the compost to move to the bottom of the second pile.
Repeat if necessary, but twice may be enough.
